Maybe you’ve always had the itch for a novelling adventure, or maybe it struck only recently. Either way, the journey is long and can be intimidating. If you’re seeing a supportive way to begin, find it here.
In this coaching package, you’ll develop a plan for your novel and begin writing it. We’ll evaluate how well your pages are launching the intended journey and talk about where to go next. You’ll leave with new confidence and a plan for writing forward.

- Written feedback on your completed Novel Guidebook, a Blueprint-inspired planning tool.
- Guidebook Coaching Call (60 min) to discuss your plans, progress, and pain points.
- Written feedback on your first 10,000 words.
- Journey Forward Coaching Call (60 min) in which we’ll discuss your work so far and develop a plan for writing forward.

The Journey Forward
You’re in the drafting phase of your novel. The horizon is wide, but it can feel so far away! You might struggle with maintaining focus or momentum or worry that you’ve written yourself into a corner or strayed off the path. This adventure will give you clarity on your story as it stands so far and support in guiding its next steps.
Begin your novelling journey with the Call to Adventure package, then continue with The Journey Forward. Repeat this adventure as many times as you like, at whatever interval your writing practice allows. You’ll get the most out of it if you submit consecutive pages each time.
What’s included:
- Written feedback on your Mid-Journey Guidebook Update, a space to evaluate your work – and your feelings about it – since your last coaching adventure.
- Written feedback on 10,000 words of your novel.
- Journey Check-In Coaching Call (60 min) in which we’ll discuss your work so far and your thoughts about the novel’s next stages. We’ll discuss any possible changes to your plan also make a plan for your next steps, any backtracking that’s needed, and how to maintain your forward momentum.

The Next Stage
You’ve typed the final sentence of your last chapter and finished your draft. Congratulations on completing a remarkable journey!
But if you want to write your very best story, the adventure of revision still lies ahead. In this coaching package we’ll discuss your goals for your novel and how they match up with your manuscript’s existing strengths. I’ll look at high-level plot and character issues and help you develop a revision plan to move your work forward.
This package is designed for manuscripts in the early stages of revision. Feedback will be high-level, focused on issues of story and character rather than line-level details. There are no inline comments.
What’s included:
- Mini Story Mapping Call (30 min) to discuss your goals for your novel and your questions about the draft.
- Editorial Letter (5-10 pages) with my feedback, including suggestions for your next revision.
- Revision Coaching Call (60 min) in which we’ll address your questions and develop a clear, actionable revision plan.
